Teacher Education
These materials together with the techniques used have been developed and tested as being specifically relevant and effective in Teacher Education. However many of the techniques and ITQ skills required are transferrable to other subject areas just as the resources developed for Science and SfL can be adapted for Teacher Education.

This material demonstrates how teachers and trainers can use PowerPoint
to develop simple learning objects for use with
students. The material focuses on using PowerPoint as a learning and
presentation tool. Teacher Education Students will be
able to work through the presentation for revision purposes, underpinning
knowledge and to prepare for their observed
teaching practices. The skills required by the teacher/lecturer cover
the basic use of PowerPoint applied in a slightly
different context. The presentations contain comprehensive speakers
notes providing additional guidance and information about
how the presentation should be used/constructed.

This materials demonstrates how Word documents can be enhanced by using
e-tivity: drop-down boxes, comments, adding images, video and sound,
adding hyperlinks, inserting pictures or text as ‘objects’ that
can be moved across the page, so that
materials become exciting and accessible interactive resources. The
examples include sample pages that can be adapted or edited to suit your
needs. Also included are the ‘how to’ resources
needed to create these simple but well organised
documents.
