Evidence
What you have to do
You need to produce a ‘framework’ for learners that
utilises action buttons as the navigation sequence as a precursor to
developing a simple learning object using Microsoft PowerPoint. You
can design the learning object framework to support any
curriculum/topic area of your choice. Decide what the key components
are and what the most appropriate navigation for the intended
audience is. Make sure that you include sections to all relevant
learning resources, learning activities and notes etc.
In the "Exemplars" section a number of options were provided. Include
best practice at all times. You may have already developed one of
your own before now and this may be used as evidence for the ITQ.
It is suggested that you develop the navigation structure first and
then populate it later. This framework may have the corporate
identity of your school, institution etc or indeed by a curriculum
area. You decide what the key sections will be.
The exemplars
section provides simple frameworks that can be adapted, both linear
and multiple routes. Students will decide their own navigation route
to access the materials that they perceive as relevant to them.
This may be the first of a number of objects and will not cover a
topic in its entirety. Break the learning down into manageable bite
sized chunks i.e. it may be an introduction to fractions or creating
a letter.
In order to FULLY satisfy the requirements of the ITQ you will need
to produce at least two comprehensive tasks for your assessor to
judge, to enable them to decide whether you have met the requirements of
this unit. (See Tracking Documents under "Mapping").
This learning object reinforces best practice for teacher and trainers
through the development of a learning object framework and the
practical application of IT skills to develop exciting tools for
learning. The framework can be adapted to suit different learner
styles using the same IT skill set as well as altering backgrounds,
font sizes etc to support visually impaired users.
