Overview
This is the first of two related learning objects demonstrating how
teachers and trainers can use PowerPoint to develop simple learning
objects for use with students. This allows differentiated learning
to take place but also can be easily customised to suit the needs of
different learners with disabilities such as visual impairments or
dyslexia.
The object focuses on using PowerPoint as a learning, rather than a presentation tool. Students will be able to work through a series of structured activities for revision purposes, underpinning knowledge or indeed access predetermined resources. The skills required by the teacher/lecturer cover the basic use of PowerPoint applied in a slightly different context.
All the ‘How to’ skills can be found by clicking on the "IT Skills" button on the left hand menu of the learning materials. These will open in a new window, alternatively you can download the completed package of resources.
This learning object covers the setting up of the framework to be populated later in the second activity. In addition, there are a number of downloads included in this object – a range of frameworks that can be adapted as well as partially completed exemplars for use in any curriculum area.
The 'Evidence' section provides guidance on what you need to
produce to provide appropriate evidence to meet the criteria for the
ITQ qualification.
