You have two choices when printing files in MS PowerPoint.
Firstly you can use the Print icon, as Figure 1-1
Figure 1-1
Clicking on this Icon will give you a single copy of all the slides in your presentation. This is often useful as a quick print option.
You will usually need more options, in which case you will need to use the print option found from the menu bar.
Figure 1-2
The Print window will open as Figure 1-3

In this window you can change a number of options, including:
Print Range
This allows you to print particular slides, such as 1,3 (slides 1 and 3) or 5-9 (slides 5 to 9 inclusive)
In the Print What section, as well as the individual slides:
Handouts
This is particularly useful as it saves you a lot of ink. Handouts can be printed 1,2,3,4,6, or 9 to a page.
The ‘3’ option is particularly useful as a handout, as it has lines to the side of each slide to allow the reader to make notes more easily, as Figure 1-4

Notes Page
This option is again useful as either a prompt to you, or as a handout proving, expanded, explanatory text.
Outline
This allows you to print the layout of your presentation.
Other options
Copies
This allows you to specify the number of copies you want to print.

If you have more than one printer connected to the computer, or network, you switch to the required device.
