Finding Toolbars in PowerPoint

When using MS PowerPoint you may find a toolbar you want to use, or that is referred to in documentation, is missing.  In this case you will need to enable it.

If a toolbar is not showing:

A list of toolbars will appear.

If more than one toolbar is missing you will need to repeat the procedure.

To close a toolbar simply repeat the procedure, this time clicking on it to hide it.

Tip:  Sometimes toolbars appear floating on the screen.  You can if you wish, drag them to a new position by clicking and holding down the left mouse button on the blue bar at the top and moving it to the required position.

You can also push it to the top, bottom or sides of the screen in a fixed position as other toolbars appear.

To pull a toolbar from a fixed, edge of the screen position, to a floating position, click and hold down the left mouse button on raised bar at the beginning of the toolbar, as figure 1-2, and pull the toolbar onto the screen.
