Introduction to Hyperlinks in PowerPoint

Hyperlinks can be used to link you from one document to another.  This can be within the same presentation, or to another document associated with the same application (i.e. Power Point to Power Point, or to a completely different application (i.e. from Power Point to Excel, or a Web page).

This can be extremely useful and is a very good way of linking associated documents.

Hyperlinks are commonly found on Web pages, usually shown as blue underlined text.  But they are also found attached to a graphic such as a logo or a picture.

The usual give away that something is a hyperlink is the fact that the cursor changes to a hand, as Figure 1-1, as it passes over the link.

Clicking on the link takes you to the associated file or document.
